Duration: You have up to 12 months from registration to complete the Qualifications assessment via our online eportfolio system

Entrance Requirements: age 18 plus you should have a min of 2 years full time experience with ongoing Cpd and training post basic training/qualification. Ideally you should hold a level 3 diploma or equivalent certification in dog grooming however applications will be assessed on a case by case basis for those with previous experience and no formal qualifications who are working in the industry.

Combination Fastrack Level 3 Diploma & Mastercraftsman Level4 &5

For those with no formal level 3 qualification you can combine fastrack level 3 ocnni diploma assessment alongside Mastercraftsman award at a reduced fee off £1495.00 to complete both at the same time.
You will need to complete:a min of 6 full grooms on a range of dogs in different styles with video/photographic evidence demonstrating your grooming with a worksheet for each.
Complete short answer question banks for 5 modules.
Complete online pet first-aid course (unless you have a recognised certificate within the last 2 years) alongside the Mastercraftsman criteria.

OCNNI LEVEL 4&5 MasterCraftsman endorsed accrediation
Students can complete this course online via our eportfolio system, some learning resources will be provided and reccommended reading list.  You have up to 12 months to complete the theory and practicals.


Your route to becoming certified:
You will need to complete case studies & assignments for 3 modules:
1. Dog grooming specialist salon skills
2. Canine health and welfare
3. Grooming business and salon management

Practical assessment x4
These can be completed via video remotely from your own workplace or salon saving down time and submitted for assessment.
Any breed including xbreeds may be used.
Group1. Scissor module- drop or scissored breeds
Group 2. Clip & scissor styling module - any breed with different head shape/style to group 1.
Group 3. Handstrip wire coat eg terriers/schnauzers
Group 4. Handstrip silky coat eg spaniels/gundogs

Students must also complete or hold a recognised pet first-aid certification valid within 2 years.
